Harry Styles Reveals One Direction Ready to Collaborate with Ed Sheeran
Harry Styles has revealed that he and the rest of the boys in the band One Direction want to collaborate with Ed Sheeran.
One Direction stole the show at the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards this week and revealed they are ready to work with Ed.
The 'Live While We're Young' hitmakers have recorded a number of songs written by the 21-year-old singer, but now want him to lend his vocals to one of their songs.
Band member Harry Styles exclusively told BANG Showbiz: ''It would be amazing to work with him, obviously. He's a very talented guy and every time we go down to the studio with him he's a great person to work with. We like working with him a lot, so who knows. We'll see what happens.''
Flame-haired Ed co-wrote the track 'Moments' on One Direction's debut album 'Up All Night' and two tracks for their upcoming second album, 'Take Me Home', and the band's Louis Tomlinson is a big fan of the 'Lego House' hitmaker's style.
He added: ''Working with Ed would be sick.''
Before shooting to fame on 'X Factor' in 2010, the group - which also includes Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik - admitted they had great fun during their younger teenage years and were relieved to finish their exams.
Speaking at the Radio 1 Teen Awards at London's Wembley Arena yesterday - which saw the group pick up Best British Music Act, Best British Single and Best British Album - Harry explained: ''I think our best teen moments have got to be going to parties, they were great.''
Zayn added: ''One of my favorite moments was after getting my GCSE results. It was a relief.''
Meanwhile, 1D collected three awards this week at the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards.
Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson - took home prizes for Best Single with 'One Thing', Best Album for 'Up All Night' and Best Music Act, and thanked their fans, friends and family on each occasion.
Their presence on stage was greeted by a rapturous reception from their screaming army of 9,000 fans inside London's Wembley Arena.
Olympic diver Tom Daley was hot on the heels of the group, winning two awards - Male Hottie of the Year and Best British Sports Star - and other winners included Paralympics GB swimmer Ellie Simmonds, who won Inspirational Hero of 2012, and Emma Watson was named Female Hottie of the Year.
One Direction proved their worth by wowing the crowd with a stunning performance to close the ceremony - which was hosted by Radio 1's new breakfast show host Nick Grimshaw and his colleague Gemma Cairney - shortly after Taylor Swift had amazed with a four-song set.
The 22-year-old beauty opened her performance with 'You Belong With Me' and 'Love Story' from her 2008 album 'Fearless' before launching into 'Red' - the titular song from her upcoming fourth studio album - for the first time ever live and then ending with the catchy 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together'.
'Harry Potter' star Daniel Radcliffe won Best British Actor and 'X Factor' picked up Best British TV Show, plus Little Mix, last year's winners of the ITV1 talent show, performed 'Wings' and 'DNA' - the titular track form their forthcoming debut album - for the screaming crowd.
Awards were also handed out to three inspirational teenagers, Jenna, Chelsea and George - who overcame cancer when he was nine years old and continued to raise money to help other youngsters in a similar situation - for heroic acts during their life.
Prior to the ceremony - which also featured performances by Ne-Yo, Conor Maynard and Fun - Radio 1 DJ Jameela Jamil paid tribute to the youngsters.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It's truly amazing some of the incredible things they've done.
"I was on the panel to help choose the winners of the inspirational awards and it was so tough because they're all amazing."
One Direction's Niall seemed to have recovered from his recent knee operation after he was bitten by a squirrel in London's Battersea Park.
He was spotted leaving the 'X Factor' studios on crutches on Saturday, but at one point during the ceremony today he jumped for joy as the boy band walked off stage after picking up their third award.
