Paris Hilton is backing the Jonas Brothers on purity rings and so is Jordin Sparks. The MTV Video Music Awards is all about the controversy as they handed out three awards to Britney Spears this year, but the underlying theme seems to be some unknown comedian named Russell Brand.

Even Brand noted that he was an virtual unknown in the U.S. and said his material would work best if everyone knew that he really was famous in Britain. His slash and burn type jokes didn't work all that well as he bashed America and (gasp!) "The Jonas Brothers."


He basically trashed them for vowing to remain virgins until they are married and that didn't really sit all that well with anyone. Jordin Sparks told Brand that not everyone in Hollywood wants to be sluts when it comes to sexual activity and even Paris Hilton chimed in.

The sex tape queen told Us Weekly: “Don’t pick on them. That (their virginity) is something cool for a kid to keep, so don’t pick on them for that. The Jonas Brothers have said they are okay with it. "For us it's cool to see that he recognizes we are gentleman," Nick Jonas told BBC's Radio 1.
