Paris Hilton’s summer screamer ‘House of Wax’ may be the reason for the Sophia Bush andChad Michael Murray marriage meltdown. Us Weekly reports this week that the pair split in part because of a slip of the tongue by Murray.

The young couple separated after five months of marriage late last month.

"This is a difficult and unfortunate situation," said Bush in a statement. "I am glad this is being resolved sooner rather than later."

"I am saddened to announce that Sophia and I are separating," said Murray. "This is a very difficult time for me."

A source quoted by the American tabloid Us Weekly reports the difficulties may have started whenChad and Sophia were on the phone and Chad believed thatBush had hung up.

Sophia reportedly remained on the line and was shocked when she overheard Chad ashe allegedly told a friend about how he "hooked up" with Paris on the ‘House of Wax' set and again later while the couple was still married.

The report states that Sophia was devastated. "This was the proof she needed to end (their marriage)," the source told the tabloid.

The couple publicly announced the break up of their short marriage on September 26.

Theyare still working together on the TV series “One Tree Hill.” And according to a set insider cited by Us Weekly– they have held their tongues in check and there have been no fireworks.
