Boardwalk Empire star Paz de la Huerta has been fired from season three of the show, was her earlier fight with Samantha Swetra to blame?

De la Huerta played politician Enoch "Nucky" Thompson's fiery girlfriend, Lucy Danziger, on the HBO series, set in a Prohibition-era Atlantic City, N.J., but she will not return.

Last year, de la Huerta was arrested after attacking The City star Samantha Swetra in New York.

She was then charged with five misdemeanours and two counts of assault, but it is unclear if the run-in with the reality TV actress and then the law was the reason for her not returning as other changes have been made.

"Paz de la Huerta who will be staring in “Nurse” and “Amsterdam, Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story” is not the only star from “Boardwalk Empire,” walking the plan, Michael Pitt’s Jimmy Darmody and Dabney Coleman’s Commodore Kaestner have all been axed."
