Amanda Beard is certainly not afraid to bare all. The Olympic swimmer had dropped her clothes for Playboy, PETA and now she is having to bare her soul for Michael Phelps. Or at least his mom. Amanda Beard is in full on damage control as she desperately tries to backpedal on her comments on Phelps when she was quizzed by a radio program on if she was dating Phelps, America's newest hero and an eight-time gold medal winner at the Beijing Olympics.

Amanda Beard Bares All for Playboy, PETA and Michael Phelps Mom?

On the radio program Amanda told the audience that she was not dating Phelps but many believed that she went too far when she said it would be nasty to date Phelps and responded with a "Eww No!" when asked if she had ever "hooked up" with the Olympic champion Phelps and later tossed in the "that's nasty!


Michael Phelps mother Debbie even chimed in a bit on the controversy and even though she wouldn't give any inside tips on Michael's love life she said that she thought the comments by Amanda Beard were "rude." After mom chimed in Amanda bared all again, this time with her clothes on. Back to the Beard backtrack - she says she is really, really sorry and she was only kidding. She says, "I am 100-percent sorry for what I said. I take full responsibility for it." Give her credit for that, at least she apologized and said she would take responsibility. That's more than most.
