What is going on? In some areas, ultimate fighting has now expanded to include kids as young as six years old. Is this outrageous? Who is right and can their young developing bodies take the pounding?

It makes some sense as to why this would be tried as the Ultimate Fighting Championship, the now very high-profile UFC (Basically a mixed martial arts (MMA) organization) is unbelievably popular both on free television and for pay events as well. But those are adults and the sport has made great strides since it was first described as "human cockfighting."

One history lesson of the sport notes that the UFC became a hit on pay-per-view and home video almost immediately due to its originality, realism, and wide press coverage, although not all of it favorable. The nature of the burgeoning sport quickly drew the attention of the authorities and UFC events were banned in a number of American states.
But should these young kids be going at it? It is going on in Missouri and has now made waves and drawn the attention of everyone in the nation as the reports spread like wildfire once local news agencies picked up on it. Several photos are here. Is this similar to training young boys in the sport of boxing, or is this just madness by irresponsible parents allowing their kids to move too fast and too soon?
