An Anna Nicole Smith murder plot? According to an Associated Press report, "The FBI investigated whether Anna Nicole Smith was part of a plot to kill her tycoon husband's son, whom she was battling for his late dad's fortune."

Smith died at age 39, apparently as a result of an overdose of prescription drugs. Most reports focus on her death and the mystery that surrounds it. This one is certainly different.


OK! Magazine reports that "documents show an ongoing investigation during the legal wrangling, but no evidence of Anna being involved in a plot is detailed. On one occasion, FBI agents interviewed Anna."

When they told her why they were questioning her, “Smith began crying and denied ever making such plans,” a report said. “Smith adamantly denied ever contemplating such a crime,” an agent wrote, and prosecutors eventually agreed the case could not go forward.
