Portrait of Prince Harry & William Unveiled
Jan 9, 2010
The National Portrait Gallery in London has a royal first - a double portrait of Britain's two young princes, William and Harry. The painting by Nicky Philipps captures William as he leans against the wall, while Harry, 25, perches on a ledge with one hand on his thigh.
Both wear the uniform of the Household Cavalry. "The first portrait of the princes captures them formally dressed, but informally posed. It is a delightful image which extends the tradition of royal portraiture," said National Portrait Gallery director Sandy Nairne.

More royal news...Prince Harry (pictured) is still smarting from a lost opportunity to go to Afghanistan with the military, blaming the Australian press. Harry in a reported outburst said: "I would love to go back to Afghanistan but the f---ing Aussie press ruined it for me."
Harry in his comment to the UK Daily Star referred to a January report in the New Idea weekly women's magazine. The magazine broke a world news embargo and gave away the Prince's undercover station in Afghanistan with the Blues and Royals cavalry regiment.
