Preakness Stakes 2014 Betting Odds, Picks and Expert Predictions - Horse Race Saturday in Baltimore
The Preakness Stakes 2014 horse race is the second leg of the triple crown and goes live Saturday afternoon from Baltimore Maryland, look below for the betting odds on today's race, along with links to picks and predictions from experts.
This is a bit of an oddity, but this year only three horses will race today that were in the Kentucky Derby.
The overall field for today is only ten horses as opposed to the 19 horses who raced in the Kentucky Derby.
California Chrome, Ride On Curlin and General a Rod are the only three horses to go from the Derby to the Preakness this year and Derby winner California Chrome is the heavy favorite today.
Can he become the first horse to win the Triple Crown since Affirmed in 1978?
Newcomer Social Inclusion could be a front-runner today and his owner hopes that is the case.
"We'll be in good position in the early stages," owner Ron Sanchez said. "I didn't like being on the outside in the Wood, but the Pimlico front stretch is a little bit longer. My horse is more experienced now and he is multi-faceted. He has speed and strength."
The weather has cleared after showers this week in the Baltimore area.
