Snooki Confirmed Pregnancy and Engagement Earlier this Month

Vinny Guadagnino thinks Snooki Polizzi's pregnancy will be a "good wake-up call" for her.

The former political aide is thrilled his 'Jersey Shore' co-star is expecting her first baby with fiance Jionni LaValle as he believes it will help curb her wild party ways.

Vinny - who enjoyed a brief fling with Snooki on the reality TV show - said: "She'll be a great mom. She's already drastically changed her life. I think this is a good wake-up call, so I think she'll be cool."

However, Vinny admits he was surprised by the news of Snooki's pregnancy but says all of the 'Jersey Shore' housemates will support her.

He told People magazine: "I had no idea. Actually people would call me, like, 'Is the show still gonna work?' And I was like, 'What are you talking about, she's not pregnant.'

"And then all of the sudden, that whole thing came out and I was like, 'Oh my God.'

"I'm ready to go. We'll turn the smush room into a nursery and there we go. We're all family. Whatever she needs."

Snooki confirmed her pregnancy and engagement earlier this month and she wouldn't be filming 'Jersey Shore' this summer.

The 24-year-old star said: "I have different priorities now. I don't care what anybody else thinks. As long as I know I'm ready and he's ready. My dad was upset. He said, 'You have your whole life ahead of you.' We didn't talk for a week. He came around eventually, and now he can't wait for the baby. My mom is so happy for me."
