Quentin Tarantino is looking for the right story to make a film in London.

The 'Django Unchained' director is known for his love of the British capital, but has yet to set one of his blockbuster films in the city because he hasn't come up with the right idea.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz at the UK premiere of his Oscar-nominated film in London's Leicester Square last Thursday night (10.01.13), he said: ''I do love London. I just need to come up with the right story that actually suggests London and everything. That hasn't happened as of yet.''

Although inspiration has yet to strike, the gore-loving 49-year-old filmmaker insisted he won't make a movie set in Victorian London or a film about the iconic Jack the Ripper, but has some idea of when the proposed film might be set.

He offered: ''It would probably be 70s London.''

In keeping with the British theme, Quentin also revealed his favourite British director is the late Terence Fisher, the man behind cult classic films including 1958's 'Dracula', Sherlock Holmes film 'The Hound of the Baskervilles' (1959) and the original 'Mummy' movie (1959).

Jamie Foxx, Kerry Washington, Christoph Waltz and Samuel L. Jackson joined Quentin on the white carpet at the 'Django Unchained' premiere.
