Rihanna headlined the second day of the music festival.

Rihanna closed BBC Radio1's Hackney Weekend in London Sunday night (06-24-12).

The 'Rude Boy' singer headlined the second day of the free festival, with her set packed with hits including 'Only Girl In The World', 'Disturbia', 'Birthday Cake' 'Don't Stop The Music' and a surprise appearance by Jay-Z - who had headlined the main stage on Saturday (06-23-12) - for 'Run This Town'.

Rihanna told the crowd: ''Hackney, they told me you lot are crazy but I did not expect it to be like this. You guys rock!''

Jay-Z stayed on stage to perform 'Talk That Talk' and 'Umbrella', before Rihanna closed her set with 'We Found Love'.

Other performers at the festival included Jessie J, Flo Rida, Jack White and Leona Lewis, among many others.

Tinie Tempah debuted a new track, produced by Calvin Harris, and was transported to the stage on his minder's back so that he wouldn't get his trainers dirty.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ''He was concerned about getting them grubby so his minder came over to the stage and turned around and hoisted him up. It was clearly prearranged.''

Festival goers battled against rain on both the Saturday and Sunday of the event, and it even affected the performers, with Plan B almost slipping over a number of times while on stage.

He said: ''God decided to open up the skies but we got through. I've been in a mood for a while, to be honest, but I'm getting over it now.''

More than 100 artists performed across six stages during the two-day event, including Lana Del Rey, who gave a performance backed by a chamber orchestra.

She later told the BBC: ''The crowd were really receptive, really good, so that made it easy.

''I didn't have my drummer with me - so it was stripped back, almost like a jazz set. It's really all about me and the crowd.''
