The Who's Roger Daltrey Wants Oasis Back Together - Noel and Liam Gallagher to Reunite?
The Who's Roger Daltrey want battling brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher to reunite their band Oasis. The legendary singer, who has announced this year's Teenage Cancer Trust gigs in London, wants to make the 15th anniversary of the concerts in 2015 memorable, by getting brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher to end their feud and take to the stage.
He told The Sun newspaper: ''Noel and Liam are brothers so it will be alright. Don't worry. Blood is much thicker than music.
''Could I bring them together for a Teenage Cancer show? Ask me next year.''
Roger is friends with Noel, 46, who organized last year's charity gigs at the Royal Albert Hall, and Liam, 41.
The brothers have barely spoken since a huge backstage bust-up ended their band Oasis in August 2009, but they reportedly met up again over the festive season.
Noel has signed up for a solo performance at Roger's gigs this year, being held between March 24-30. He will join Ed Sheeran, The Cure, Paolo Nutini, One Republic and Suede, who are headlining the shows.
And it's not only the concerts which Roger, 69, is focusing on, as he is planning The Who's 50th anniversary and wants to do something different.
He said: ''We think our next tour will be our last but they won't be our last shows. We want to find a new way.
''Billy Joel is doing five years at Madison Square Garden but he is playing one a month.
''So there are other ways of playing shows than schlepping your body around the world.
''It gets much, much harder at my age!''
Tickets for the Teenage Cancer Trust gigs are now on sale.
