Rosie O'Donnell Dives Into Frenchie - Antonella Barba Topless Fray
There is a move afoot that actually wants American idol to reinstate Frenchie Davis into this week's American idol competition. The reasoning is that she was booted out of the competition during season three for her topless photos and Antonella Barba remains in this year's competition. It is a laughable effort, and appears to be a pipe dream. But even Frenchie seems like she believes it might happen. The View's Rosie O'Donnell decided to dive into the Frenchie-Antonella topless fray today on the air.

On Tuesday's 'The View,' Rosie addressed the fact that Davis was booted off American Idol for once appearing on an adult Web site and Barba remains on the show. "Why is it that Frenchie was kicked off and this girl was not?"

According to the report from the weekly entertainment magazine's website when co- host Elisabeth Hasselbeck suggested that it might have been because Davis's site was for pay, O'Donnell said she did not buy the argument.
"I think it's racist. I do," said O'Donnell, adding in reference to Davis, "I think it's because she's black." Davis herself has questioned the fairness of the situation in interviews.
"I think it's fantastic if Idol has evolved and I think it's fantastic she won't have to go through what I went through four years ago," the singer told the New York Post. "But if the rules have changed, I believe there should be something to make up for the fact that I was humiliated needlessly."

The magazine notes that Davis, 27, who described her 2003 ordeal as a "very painful experience," said that she would love to speak to the show's producers but emphasized, "I wish no one ill. I've never bad-mouthed Idol and I never will." She's already better than Jennifer Hudson when it comes to that.
But the 'racist' accusation from Rosie is completely unfounded and is just another case of Rosie desperately trying to attack the popular reality TV show. American idol's incredibly diverse world really doesn't need lessons about alleged racism from Rosie (ching, chang, chong) O'Donnell.
