Rosie O'Donnell Mocks Sheryl Crow's War on Toilet Paper

Apr 23, 2007

Singer Sheryl Crow has been universally mocked this morning after her declaration this weekend that we can begin to save our 'planet on fire' by using less Charmin. It is hard to turn on a local television news broadcast, or a cable news talking heads show without Sheryl Crow jokes being spewed about. And FM radio has been brutal. How bad is it for Sheryl - the usually unfunny Rosie O'Donnell even slapped this hanging curveball out of the park.

Sheryl said a ban on using too much toilet paper should be introduced to help the environment. Crow has suggested using "only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where two to three could be required".

She added "I have spent the better part of this tour trying to come up with easy ways for us all to become a part of the solution to global warming," Crow wrote. "Although my ideas are in the earliest stages of development, they are, in my mind, worth investigating.

"I propose a limitation be put on how many squares of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting." Even the ultra left-wing Rosie couldn't take a pass.

According to an item on TMZ.Com Rosie used her platform as the boss of 'The View' on ABC to ask to Sheryl Crow: "Have You Seen My Ass?" Sorry - hope you aren't eating. Barbara Walters chimed in and was good enough to warn viewers not to use their sleeves, another of Crow's helpful suggestions.
