Ryan Lochte as next Bachelor?

Ryan Lochte as next Bachelor will cost the network $750,000.

According to the UK Dail Mail's sources, the Olympic swimmer wants the gig, but also wants a big payday.

An earlier report had claimed Bachelor host Chris Harrison gave his nod approval for Ryan to become the next suitor on the dating show, after the sportsman expressed interest in joining the reality program to find love.

The five-time gold medalist may have garnered an extreme amount of success in the pool, but when it comes to finding the perfect woman, he has not been as lucky in love.

The 28 year old previously told Access Hollywood Live that he's ready for a relationship, even if that means going on ABC's dating show.

He confessed, "I would think about The Bachelor... I definitely would because, you know, before I was training so much that I didn't have time for a girlfriend, but I wanted to give that perfect someone my heart. Now that the Olympics are over, I definitely want to settle down. So, we'll see what happens."

So when he came face to face with The Bachelor host at The Expendables 2 premiere in Hollywood on Wednesday, the two discussed the possibility of working together in the future.

Harrison exclaimed, "I think it would be awesome. I think if he promises not to pee in the pool, we'll be alright."

The rose master's joke comes a couple weeks after Lochte told Today Show correspondent Ryan Seacrest that he occasionally lets go in the pool when there's no time to leave in the middle of training.

Harrison didn't stop the joking around there, insisting that the swimming hunk could only be a part of the show if he agreed to wear a Speedo throughout the duration of filming.

He jested, "That's part of the deal. Did you see him (in his Speedo)? I mean, all of America stopped. It's a female driven show, come on!"

Lochte played along and responded, "That's fine. I already am. There's not much of a difference... If it gets asked towards me, I'd definitely consider it."

Lochte recently landed in Los Angeles, where he has been making various high-profile appearances, including filming a guest role on CW's teen drama 90210, in which he plays himself.
