Samantha Barbash, Other NY Strippers Accused of Drugging, Robbing Wealthy Men
Samantha Barbash (aka "Samantha Foxx") is a 40-year old stripper who worked at Scores in New York City.
She is allegedly the ringleader of a group of strippers police say stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from wealthy male clients by drugging them and stealing their credit cards.
Barbash, Roselyn Keo, 29, Marsi Rosen, 28, and Karina Pascucci, 26 have been charged with scamming wealthy New York men and have appeared in court to answer the charges.
The ladies are accused of stealing at least $200,000 from September to December from men who were patrons in the gentleman's clubs.
The alleged victims include a hedge fund manager, a banker, a real estate lawyer and a cardiologist, sources told the NY Daily News.
One patron of the strip clubs who says he was duped has come forward, Cardiologist Dr. Zyad Younan's credit card was hit for a total of $135,000 at the strip club.
The other men were allegedly bilked out at least a combined $65,000, but haven't been named.
Here's what police say the women would do:
The ladies would "fish" for clients in the club where they were working as exotic dancers.
Police say they would troll for guys who had no limit credit cards and get them to a private room at the RoadHouse club in Queens or to Scores in NY and allegedly implement their plan.
The strippers would then allegedly dope the guys' drinks with ketamine, molly, or other powerful drugs, court papers say.
They would then get their credit cards and run up the charges and allegedly would take some compromising photos for leverage.
Police say if patrons refused to pay their charges, the strippers would send the men incriminating photos via text message that were taken when they were incapacitated.
The strippers would then threaten to pass those along to the men's wives or family if they didn't pay.
Dr. Zyad Younan still refused to pay and Scores sued for the money and police became involved and their investigation led to the arrests.
There's a Lifetime or Cinemax movie script in this hot mess of a story, but for now it will play out for real in the NY courts.
All of the ladies were arraigned in State Supreme Court in NY on multiple counts of conspiracy, grand larceny, forgery and assault.
They are now out on bail and have entered a 'not guilty' plea.
Carmine Vitolo was also arrested on Wednesday and charged with grand larceny and conspiracy, he's a manager at the club.
Lawyers for the defendants said they would all fight the charges.
The NY Times notes that owners of the clubs were not charged in the indictment and they have more on the story here.
