Need a preview of the Sarah Palin interview on Oprah Winfrey? The former Alaska Governer claims in the book "Going Rogue" (out next week) that she had to pay $50,000 for her own background check at the request of the campaign of the 2008 Republican nominee for president, US Senator John McCain (R-AZ).

The claim is that she would need to produce the $50K before she would even be considered to become a running mate to John McCain for the Republican Party ticket in the 2008 presidential election, according to the Associated Press.

A USA Today report (see here with video more on the Oprah interview) notes the book is scheduled to go on sale Tuesday, but the Associated Press said it was able to purchase a copy for the information. The paper notes that on a personal side, "in excerpts provided by Winfrey's Harpo Studios on Thursday, Palin expresses a desire to reconcile with Levi Johnston, the father of her first grandchild."

So how is the 19-year-old father handling his first nude photo shoot? “I’m good!” Levi tells Life & Style. “I haven’t gone through them yet, but there are a lot of good shots.”
