Actress Keira Knightley has sparked rumors that she is having relationship problems with boyfriend Rupert Friend. The 24-year-old British star reportedly hinted that there were parallels between her personal life and her role in new play The Misanthrope.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean actress plays a promiscuous actress in the play, which is due to open in London's West End later this month.


Asked whether she sees any similarities between her character and herself, she said: "Do I recognize being an extremely well-known young actress? Yes. And she's in the middle of a world full of people who are quite a bit older than her. She's having a problem with her boyfriend. No comment."

Knightley has been dating the Young Victoria actor, 28, since they met on the set of the 2005 movie Pride & Prejudice.
