The Un-Break My Heart vocalist locked lips with 25-year-old Trey Songz during their duet at this year’s Soul Train Awards. Days later, the 41-year-old singer confirmed her separation from musician Keri Lewis. ‘I’m a little sad about it, I really don’t like being separated,’ she said. ‘I enjoyed being married but we are definitely separated. We’re great friends and we have kids together and we still work together, but yeah, we are separated.’


Braxton, who has two sons - seven-year-old Denim and six-year-old Diezel – with Lewis, shared a kiss with Songz on stage at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. Lewis reportedly witnessed his wife’s smooch during a show-opening performance of Yesterday, from the front row of the awards show audience.

After starting the duet sitting at a piano, Braxton put on a performance full of sexual energy, touching and kissing Songz throughout their duet. But the R&B singer has denied that the kiss contributed to the breakdown of her marriage.

‘I talked to him [Lewis] about the kiss before hand because the team and the choreographer suggested it because we were trying to narrate the song,’ she said. ‘So we were trying to narrate the song. That’s where the kiss came from.’ Braxton, who suffers from microvascular angina, wed Lewis in April 2001. She previously dated American football player Curtis Martin.
