Bruce Springsteen Wows Fans at Benefit
Bruce Springsteen wowed music fans in Asbury Park, New Jersey on Saturday night when he stepped up onstage unannounced to perform at a Paramount Theater benefit concert.
Tickets for the Light of Day Parkinson's charity show sold out when rumors of a Springsteen appearance spread - and The Boss didn't disappoint.
After a series of sets from local acts, Garland Jeffreys introduced the rock icon onto the stage and Springsteen performed the songwriter's Wild In The Streets.
Over an hour later, the Glory Days rocker returned to the spotlight to perform with New Yorker Willie Nile and he then re-appeared to perform Incident On 57th Street solo.
He closed out the night by performing with longtime friend Joe Grushecky and his band The House Rockers.
The combo performed The Boss' Darkness On The Edge of Town, Atlantic City and Johnny 99.
According to RollingStone.com, the night ended with a jam session of the Springsteen-penned Patti Smith hit Because The Night and renditions of Waiting On A Sunny Day, Promised Land, Twist & Shout and a sing-along of Thunder Road.
