Does Stevie Nicks want American Idol's Megan Joy to play her in the Fleetwood Mac biopic? There is a lot of anonymous chatter from those close to the situation, and the underlying theme appears that they are openly considering the intriguing possibility of attractive American Idol finalist Megan Joy testing for the part of Stevie Nicks in an upcoming Fleetwood Mac biopic.

Megan Joy as Stevie Nicks?

The supergroup's legendary frontwoman is reportedly open to the idea of a newcomer playing her in the as-yet unnamed film. Nicks blasted the idea of Lindsay Lohan taking on the role in a New York Times interview last month. "Over my dead body," the one-time queen of rock said when asked about the troubled Lohan portraying her on film.


Megan Joy, this year's breath of fresh air on Idol's 8th season, has expressed an interest in future projects such as acting. With a vocal quality similar to Nicks, we just might see her transform herself into the woman who made songs like “Stand Back,” “Gypsy,” and “Rhiannon” standards of the rock era.

What about Megan’s signature sleeve tattoo? “With the technology we have today, and after four hours in makeup, you would think you were looking at the 28 year-old Stevie after we finished with Megan,” my source told me. “And her vocals are pretty close, even closer with some coaching and practice.”
