Kate Vernon has had all sorts of reactions since the revelation, on the Jan. 16 episode of "Battlestar Galactica," that her character, Ellen Tigh, is the long-mysterious fifth and final Cylon hidden amongst humans in the Peabody award-winning science fiction series that will come to its final conclusion March 20.

"Some of my friends who are die hard fans are indignant that I didn't tell them," says the actress, who's been holding the secret for months, "and they're thrilled that I am the Cylon." Online, she's found some followers of the show "are angry, and some are in denial.


Some still don't believe it. They're saying, 'Her husband has been hallucinating her for two years, so how do they know she's real now?' They have a point," Vernon admits.

One thing that is inarguable is the actress's delight in being asked back on the highly lauded series after her character's initial demise. It's already led to a fresh wave of attention for the actress. She's currently awaiting word on whether she'll be joining the cast of Nancy Meyers' untitled romantic comedy with Meryl Streep, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin.
