Emily was reluctant to appear on The Bachelorette.

"The Bachelorette" 2012 stars one-time Bachelor babe Emily Maynard and will debut tonight, with the former cast-off from the Bachelor hoping to find love on the show from one of the 25 guys trying to become her lover, or at least one of the next Bachelors.

People Magazine revealed earlier that Maynard, whose rocky engagement to reality TV veteran Brad Womack ended last summer, "was reluctant to appear on The Bachelorette because she didn't want to be away from her young daughter Ricki."

However, according to the Christian Post, Maynard says her daughter "is loving" all the attention she gets when she's out with her mom.

"She really doesn't know about 'The Bachelor' or 'The Bachelorette.' I tell her, 'I'm going to work,' but she's getting a lot of attention. Everywhere we go, I've tried to bring her back something from the dates or whatever," said Maynard.

"Emily's season is drastically different than anything we've ever done," Harrison explained. "Throughout the show, there's an underlying issue that she's a mom and 'Is this guy ready?'"

All 25 of the suitors – including a mushroom farmer, an ex-professional football player, a single dad, and a guy who shows up in a helicopter – came on the show knowing that Maynard was the woman they'd be vying for. "Emily has already captured their attention and their imagination," says the host. "You don't have that moment of getting out of the limo going, 'Who is this? Am I attracted to them?' They're already over that first hurdle and on to seeing if there's something beyond initial attraction."
