Tiger Woods Girlfriend Lindsey Vonn Shows Some Leg on Twitter - PGA Golfer in Tucson at Accenture
Tiger Woods has had a busy few weeks since his girlfriend Lindsey Vonn suffered a nasty crash while skiing the super-G at the Alpine Ski World Championships in Austria on February 5.
Though the two world class athletes only recently began dating, (they have been linked romantically since November when they hit the slopes together in Austria), Woods made certain Vonn would have a comfortable ride home from Europe.
Woods sent his private plane to pick her up and get her back to the US where she would seek medical treatment for her injuries.
The crash did serious damage to Lindsey's left leg and surgery was scheduled to repair torn stabilizing ligaments in her knee and a fractured shin.
The surgery took place at the Vail Valley Surgery Center and was conducted by Dr. Bill Sterett of Vail-Summit Orthopaedics, who is the head physician for the U.S. Women's Alpine Ski Team, according to People Magazine.
The surgery was a success, but there is still a lot of rehab left for Lindsey.
According to her doctor and U.S. Ski Team officials, the four-time World Champion is expected to miss the rest of this season.
Tiger is busy…
While his new girlfriend heals, Woods was playing golf with President Barack Obama.
He spoke kindly of the president's game earlier this week.
“If he ever spent — after these four years — spent more time playing the game of golf, I’m sure he could get to where he’s a pretty good stick,” Woods said.
Obama golfs more than most - according to CBS News Radio’s White House correspondent Mark Knoller, Obama has played at least 115 rounds of golf since the beginning of his presidency just over four years ago, for an average of 29 times a year.
Tiger is in Tucson this weekend….
Woods is busy right now in his first round match at the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship that is being held at Dove Mountain in Marana, Arizona.
You can see the leaderboard here.
Woods is the only three-time winner of the Match Play Championship, though he hasn’t advanced out of the second round since he last won this event in 2008.
Tiger is a number one seed in the match play event that hosts the best golfers from the PGA Tour and the European Tour.
It is a 64-player event and Woods is heavily favored in the first round and is currently playing Charles Howell III.
The way the format works is a single elimination tournament - so the loser for each round goes home and the winner moves on.
A champion will be crowned on Sunday.
