Tiger Woods Girlfriend Lindsey Vonn Prepares for 2013 Masters Golf Tournament
The 2013 Masters Golf Tournament is set for next week in Augusta, Georgia and all eyes are on Tiger Woods.
The superstar golfer is back on track on the course, he has won 3 of 5 starts this season and seems to have a newfound confidence.
Off the course, he has a new girlfriend, legendary Olympic skier Lindsay Vonn and many eyes are on her as well.
Some have credited the girlfriend in assisting Tiger's new focus and others have claimed they will soon be moving in together and say she is a big part of the reason Woods is able to concentrate on his game without distractions from his personal life.
One report noted that Tiger won only won three tournaments all of last year (2012), but since he began dating Lindsey, he has won three of five of the PGA tournaments he has entered this season (2013) and is the favorite to win his first major in years at The Masters Golf Tournament this weekend.
Damian Vaughn, a former N.F.L. tight end turned performance coach told the NY Times off the course confidence could definitely help Tiger:
"He's obviously looking happier. If he is at peace in work life and his personal life, that’s everything."
Woods hasn't won a major since 2008, and hasn't won a Masters since 2005, but if he can again find his dominant game, he can re-write some impressive records.
Woods has won 77 career PGA titles, five shy of tying the late Sam Snead's all-time record.
Tiger has 14 major victories, while Jack Nicklaus' holds the record with 18 majors.
Lindsey prepares for the Masters with humor...
Will Lindsay be in Georgia this weekend?
She was heckled a bit at an appearance in Vail, Colorado while she was at an event at the end of March, but Vonn is used to public appearances and played it off well.
When someone shouted Tiger's name from the crowd, she kept her cool, flashed her pretty smile and joked, "Okay guys, I play golf."
Vonn's friends have said the relationship is rooted in a mutual understanding that may be difficult to comprehend from an outsider's point of view, according to Us Weekly.
"No one else gets what athletes at that level go through," a source told the mag.
"They train all the time!"
