Tiger Woods Girlfriend Lindsey Vonn Opens Up - 2013 Barclays Golf Tournament Begins
Tiger Woods girlfriend Lindsey Vonn has been very supportive of her golf superstar boyfriend during his PGA Tour play this year.
Lindsey has not only been on the course and following Tiger Woods' play, but has used Twitter to send out some social media support for her man calling him golf's best in one positive tweet.
And Woods has had a very good season - winning five times on the PGA Tour, including two World Golf Championship wins.
He is again ranked number one and pulled in $7.6 million in earnings so far this season to top the money list on the tour.
But - Tiger Woods didn't win a major again this season and he hasn't won a major golf tournament since his 2008 US Open victory.
Still, Tiger remained positive.
"This year's been a great year so far," Woods said before play began today at the 2013 Barclays golf tournament.
"I've won at two of my favorite venues [Torrey Pines and Bay Hill], plus winning two World Golf Championships and a Players [Championship] in there. It's been pretty good."
Lindsey opens up…
Lindsey Vonn is a star in her own right and joked about it earlier in an interview.
“Some people seem to forget that I’m not just Tiger’s girlfriend," Vonn told the NY Times earlier.
“I’m actually a successful athlete. I’m Lindsey. I have my own career and my own life.”
She is now quizzed often about her relationship.
In a more recent interview Lindsey said she was happy and currently in “a new chapter” of her life and has been spending lots of time with “friends and family” during her break from her career due to her knee injury.
In the interview with Fashion & Style, she opens up about her struggles to deal with her latest injury.
“In the last months I had to learn to be patient; my knee gave me limitations I wasn’t used to,” Vonn revealed.
“I had to gradually ease back into my training. Step by step I made progress though. It wasn’t easy and doing nothing at the very beginning was a difficult challenge. So in that sense I learned to just be patient and take things a bit more slowly. It’s a hard balance between pushing yourself and knowing where your weaknesses are.”

Tiger Woods hurting?
As the FedEx Cup Playoffs 2013 begin (The PGA Tour is in New Jersey this weekend playing the Barclays Golf Tournament), Woods is nursing a sore back and a stiff neck.
How will that affect his play?
"My neck and back are a little bit stiff. It was stiff this morning after a soft bed and just one of those things, sleeping in hotels," Woods said.
"I didn't want to push it, so just took it easy and chipped and putted."
