It would seem a bit far-fetched at least talent wise as Carrie is a superstar country singer that collects new fans and lots of awards as her career progresses while Jessica Simpson is desperately trying to find her voice and her latest mark on the world of music as her pop star career fades.

Simpson's latest claim to fame is really nothing more than the fact that she is dating Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and mostly she has received attention for her poorly timed visit to Texas Stadium and her willingness to threaten to sue OK! Magazine for claiming that the pair had split.


Now there are reports that Jessica wants to copy Carrie and take her voice to country music. One thing needs to be noted, wouldn't many country fans find this more than a bit insulting? What's next, Britney Spears? The country music genre is full of extremely talented ladies and the field is very crowded and I'm not certain Jessica and her "Double D's" are going to pull in listeners.

A report from OK! Magazine says that her boy toy Tony Romo agrees. The magazine claims he told her that recently. That surely went over well. It's probably going to be a tough transition for Simpson, country fans don't just buy songs because they are out there by someone that used to be a pop star.
