Former figure skater Tonya Harding has gotten married again. The woman made notorious when fellow skater Nancy Kerigan was attacked with club to the knees during the Olympics in 1994 in a plan hatched by Harding's husband, tied the knot in Washington with 42-year-old Joseph Jens Price in June.
The new husband is described as a nice blue-collar guy.
MSNBC News recalls Harding as national figure skating champion in 1991 and a two-time Olympian, but reveals that in 1994 she "was banned for life from the U.S. Figure Skating Association because of her role in an attack on fellow skater Nancy Kerrigan."
Harding's then-husband Jeff Gillooly helped plan the assault.
This wedding went off, with a slight hitch. It appears the groom was late. Deputy Auditor Karen Updike told The Columbian newspaper "She kept saying she was sorry he was late.
"She was very nice, appreciative. They were a very nice couple."
The newspaper says the couple resides in Yacolt, Wash.
