Taylor Lautner's hard work in the gym has paid off as the 16 year old actor won't be replaced as Jacob after all in the Twilight sequel, New Moon. He says that might mean a bit more work for Robert Pattinson as well. Life & Style Weekly spoke with the young actor. "The day after I finished filming Twilight, I came home and started working out like a fiend," Taylor told the celebrity magazine at the Access Hollywood Stuff You Must gift lounge on Jan. 10.
"I was working out six or seven days a week for two hours a day, going crazy and eating as much as possible." Taylor was reportedly in danger of losing his role because he was deemed too lanky for the sequel. "Recently, I put on 20 pounds, and I guaranteed 10 more," he says of his rapid bulk-up. "I've put on six of those, so I've got four more pounds to go and then I'm a man of my word."
The report adds that it looks like Robert Pattinson's character, Edward, will have his work cut out for him if he wants to win Bella from Jacob. "It's about time for Jacob to get in there," says Taylor. "Her relationship with Jacob is a little different than her relation ship with Edward, but Jacob would love to bring it to the next level."
Besides eating lean meats and vegetables, Taylor has been drinking lots of protein shakes. "They're disgusting, but I need to do it," he dishes in the report.
