Week one for the National Football league means the Las Vegas betting lines get a good long look from many fans that like to pick winners against the spread in NFL games.

Oddsmakers have dissected what they can from the pre-season, and have set their NFL power rankings set and have placed the opening lines up on the board and legal gamblers in Nevada are placing bets down for week one.


Experts picks are always available online. ESPN has their panel of prognosticators ready to make their week one selections, but keep in mind they won't be posted until Wednesday.

My three early selections for this week:

- The NY Giants cover the seven and get their revenge for a 41-9 drubbing last season at the hands of the Carolina Panthers.

- Play the over 44 total points in the Green Bay Packers at Philadelphia Eagles game.

- On Monday night, lay the points (up to 7) with the San Diego Chargers over the Kansas City Chiefs.
