Which members of the UK boy band One Direction are single in 2012?

One Direction is made up of five young men from the UK and includes Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne.

All five have young women (and in Harry's case, a few cougars) trying to get to know them a little better and become the next girlfriend on constant basis.

Before a rumored split this week, 3 members of the band had steady girlfriends and were involved in relationships, while two were girlfriend free.

That may have changed this week.

A report has claimed Liam Payne has just split with his girlfriend and joins Harry Styles and Niall Horan as the single members of the band.

Liam has reportedly split from his girlfriend of two years.

The 19-year-old One Direction singer and dancer Danielle Peazer, 24, are said to have called time on their relationship because Liam's busy schedule has meant they have spent increasing amounts of time apart and they feared it would only get worse when the band begin a world tour next year.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ''They have split in the last few days because it has been more and more difficult to keep the relationship going with Liam spending more and more time away.

''He has hardly been able to see Danielle in recent months and the band have a world tour next year so it was only going to get harder.

''They ended things but Liam hopes they have left on good terms. She was the first real love of his life.''

Liam's bandmate Harry Styles recently said if he had to date anyone in the band, it would be Liam as he is such a good boyfriend.

He explained: ''I think I'd go out with Liam because he's a genuine, kind-hearted boy. Someone being genuine is really important to me. I think if you were his girlfriend, he would treat you really well.''
