With Comic-Con 2011 kicking off Thursday in San Diego and Captain America: The First Avenger opening nationwide this weekend, the debate is on for the 'Greatest Comic Book Villains of All Time.'

The list is long and IGN Comics has a thorough examination that follows comics "through the Golden Age, Silver Age, Bronze Age, and Modern Age to gather the best of the worst for our Top 100 Comic Book Villains of All Time."

Aaron Albert has his own Top Ten list and adds: "Everybody loves a good bad guy. Without super villains, would there even be any super heroes? Anybody can be bad, but to be considered a villain, you have to be ruthless, powerful, and sometimes, downright crazy."
