Will They Settle Down: Brad Pitt in the Angelina Jolie Doghouse
By Debra Beste
Oct 2, 2007
Brad Pitt finds himself in the Angelina Jolie doghouse, a published report claims. What could Pitt have done to get on Angie's bad side? Did he make the moves on a co-star of a movie? No - it appears George Clooney is not the problem. According to a report from the National Enquirer the problem is actually about a dog - a real canine one. Brad wants a dog for the kids, and Angelina does not.

There was speculation that Pitt had already picked up a pooch earlier when he was spotted with a dog on set in Gotham. But Jolie has out her foot down according to the story. So why the puppy love for Brad?

The couple is fighting over whether to adopt a dog for their 6-year-old son Maddox, an insider tells The Enquirer. "Brad and Angelina have gone around and around about the dog issue," the insider divulged. "Angelina feels there are too many issues precluding them from getting a pet – they're always traveling, and the household staff would end up caring for the animal.
"Brad, on the other hand, feels that a dog would help to settle the family in one place." But when Brad wanted to take Maddox to the pound and adopt a dog for his birthday in early August, Angelina said: "No way!"
The insider explained to the weekly entertainment magazine: "Angelina's was upset at Brad for not only bringing another complication into their lives, but also for turning her into the 'bad guy' for saying no."

Brad gave in (what did you think he would do?) and quickly made up with Angelina. But he and Maddox aren't giving up on the dog idea. The couple's publicist denies there is any turmoil over adding a dog to the family. But Brad and Maddox are already working on persuading Angelina to reconsider, according to the insider.
"Brad's feeling is that Angelina can't say 'no' to Maddox for too long and she'll eventually come around to accepting a four-footed member into the family."
