YouTube Divorce Sensation Tricia Walsh Smith Gets Extreme
By Ed Pena
Jun 16, 2008
Tricia Walsh Smith, the British actress who went public with her sex-less marriage when her husband, The Shubert Theater Organization's big wig Phil Smith tried to evict her from their multi-million dollar Park Avenue apartment has taken her fight in a different direction. The 52 year old socialite was the guest on this week's edition of "The Heyman Hustle," the controversial broadband television show produced and hosted by former WWE and ECW creative genius Paul Heyman.

The Hustle, which is NewsCorp's flagship program for their SunOnline-based broadband network, is the pop culture show that attempts to showcase a different side of the public personalities that agree to be on the show. Tricia, of course, has been in the headlines, featured as a scorned, angry, bitter, vengeful wife looking to air the dirty laundry from the relationship that is obviously now over. Hustle director/producer Mitchell Stuart told The Sun, "We wanted to show a different side of Tricia. She's shown her angry side, and the whole world has seen it, but we wanted to know if she can take a moment and share a laugh, or if the portrayal of her as simply a scorned woman is accurate."
Her 1st video became something that will be remember when VH-1 looks back at this decade the same way they produce "I love the 70's" and "I love the 80's." Tricia Walsh Smith is a time capsule phenomenon, a part of pop culture history that can't be erased. That 1st video has been seen by almost four million people on YouTube, and she has vowed to fight to the bitter end.
Enter Paul Heyman. Former professional wrestling show runner and on-air personality, and from all accounts an innovative marketer. While Vince McMahon's WWE and Ted Turner 's WCW were spending millions on promotions in the 1990's, Heyman was marketing his Extreme "ECW" promotion with guerrilla tactics that earned him the distinction of being named to Advertising Age's Top 100 Marketers list.
So Heyman interviews Tricia, but it's not the same old interview everyone's been doing. Heyman takes Tricia out for a ride in a luxury SUV, and the results are hilarious. Heyman actually says "You had no sex? But I think youŽre very bangable!" The look of shock by Tricia is only topped by Heyman continuing, "If you were my wife, youŽd be walking around with a limp."
Their ride through New York is very funny, and Tricia actually laughs at her own situation in this episode. You can check it all out for yourself here. Also check out Heyman's blog on Donald Trump taking on the UFC for cage fighting pay per view supremacy. It's a very interesting read.
